Bursaries
The CCAA offers bursaries to graduating high school students throughout Cumberland County.
The successful students will be those who:
- Demonstrate a strong involvement in their school and/or community initiatives;
- Plan to continue their studies; and
- Experience financial hardships and has demonstrated a commitment to overcome same through continued education, hard work and perseverance.
Bursary applications must be received no later than May 5th.
NSCC Bursary
There is a bursary available for students that have graduated from a Cumberland County High School and have gone into the first year of the Early Childhood Education program, and will be continuing their post-secondary studies in the field of childhood studies.

Amanda's Gift Bursary
Amanda's Gift is a bursary program of the Nova Scotia Council for the Family. It was established to provide financial assistance to former youth in care in Nova Scotia, ages 16-28, who wish to pursue education/career development opportunities. The bursary funds will be used to assist with items such as: tuition, books, computer equipment, conference fees and adult education courses. Click here for more information.
